The Tenth Annual Harrison County Republican Dinner and Auction, Thursday, September 19, will feature high profile speakers.
Joining Keynoter, Mary Mosiman, as Special Guest Speaker will be KFAB radio personality Chris Baker. Mosiman is Iowa State Auditor and considered to be one of the fastest rising stars in Iowa politics. Baker hosts the drive-time talk radio show on Omaha’s KFAB radio. Baker is on air daily from 2-6 pm with a mix of humor, politics and current issues. Joining the two at the podium will be US Senate candidates Mark Jacobs and Scott Schaben.
According to Harrison County Republican Chair, Kip Murphy, any US Senate candidate who had filed paperwork was offered the opportunity to make brief remarks.
Said Murphy, “While others have scheduling conflicts, it is not known at this time if Matt Whitaker will be able to attend. We will be holding a US Senatorial Straw Poll that evening with one ballot per attendee. We hope that supporters of all candidates will attend and make their voices heard.”
State legislative candidates in districts serving Harrison County will also have the opportunity to briefly address the crowd.
Also on the program will be a pie and gift auction. Attendees are welcome to bring items for auction. A buffet chicken dinner will be served. Admission for the event is $20.00 per person with all proceeds from the evening going directly to candidates in and serving Harrison County.
This year the event will be in Mondamin, Iowa at the Community Center, 200 Maple St., Mondamin Iowa 51557. Doors will open at 5:30 pm with the program starting at 6:00 pm.
The event is officially sponsored by the Harrison County Federated Republican Women with the organizational cooperation of the Harrison County Republican Party.
