Members of our State Central Committee have begun reaching out to Republican elected officials, discussing the Patriot Club, and promoting the upcoming projects and events by the Iowa GOP.
The response in just a few days has been tremendous, and we’ve had the opportunity to talk with our Republican State Reps and Senators working hard at the capital.
Today we profile the newest Republican official to join the Patriot Club, Mark Segebart, State Senator in SD 6.
Mark Segebart is a sixth generation family farmer, community leader and sixteen year Crawford County Supervisor. Senate District 6 includes all of Audubon, Buena Vista, Carroll and Sac Counties in addition to the eight eastern townships in Crawford County.
Besides his work on the family farm and on the Crawford County Board of Supervisors, Segebart and his wife Catherine have been advocates for children their entire lives; Catherine as a long-time public school teacher and Mark as a school bus driver for the ArWeVa Community School District.
He and his wife of 40 years have farmed outside of Vail and are the proud parents of two adult children, a daughter Martha and a son Alex. They are active members of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla.
We thank Mark Segebart for his generous contribution and look forward to working with him throughout the legislative session.
