Chairman Strawn: Iowans will Reject Culver, Conlin Agenda

November to be referendum on failed Democrat leadership

DES MOINES – As the Iowa Democrats gathered for their 2010 State Convention in Des Moines, Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn today said the November general election will be a referendum on the failed leadership of Governor Chet Culver and one-party Democratic rule in Des Moines and Washington, DC.

“Iowans cannot afford another four years of Chet Culver’s failed leadership. I’m confident that Iowans will reject the Culver record of job losses, generational debt spending, rising property taxes, and widespread executive mismanagement.

“Iowans also cannot afford Roxanne Conlin, who would be another vote in Congress for a Democrat majority that has tripled the federal deficit, put America $13 trillion in debt, and dramatically expanded the role of the government into our daily lives. Senator Chuck Grassley has stood up to this big-spending agenda and Iowans will reward his principled leadership with an overwhelming re-election this November.”
