Media Advisory: Dave Funk to Announce Bid for Supervisor

Iowa GOP Chairman Strawn, Lt. Gov. nominee Kim Reynolds Lending GOP Support

DES MOINES – Dave Funk will hold a news conference Wednesday morning to announce his run for elected office in Polk County. Funk recently finished a competitive GOP primary for the 3^rd Congressional District nomination. Funk is expected to be nominated tonight by a special Polk County Republican Convention to run in Polk County’s 3^rd supervisor district against incumbent Democrat Tom Hockensmith.   

Funk will be joined by Iowa GOP Chairman Matt Strawn and GOP Lieutenant Governor Nominee Senator Kim Reynolds. They will discuss the importance of electing a Republican to the office of Polk County Supervisor.
