Opposing the Democrat Health Care Plan
RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE DEMOCRAT HEALTH CARE PLAN
WHEREAS, the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate by the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has clearly and convincingly demonstrated that the citizens of the United States do not want expanded governmental control of their health care; and,
WHEREAS, the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate by the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has clearly and convincingly demonstrated that the citizens of the United States do not want a health care system that will increase federal taxes and create greater federal deficits; and,
WHEREAS, the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate by the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has clearly and convincingly demonstrated that the citizens of the United States do not want a health care system that will impose budget-busting unfunded mandates on every state in the Union except those with a Senator who sold his or her vote for ‘Obamacare’; and,
WHEREAS, the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate by the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has clearly and convincingly demonstrated that the citizens of the United States do not want a health care system that will destroy the relationship between health care providers and patients by imposing governmental control on health care decisions, ration health care, and quickly and permanently lower the quality of health care in the United States; and,
WHEREAS, the election of Republican Scott Brown to the United States Senate by the voters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has clearly and convincingly demonstrated that the citizens of the United States do not want a health care system that is promoted by President Obama and other Democrats with more misrepresentations and outright lies than their predecessors who sold snake oil generations ago; now therefore be it
RESOLVED
, that the Republican National Committee commends and congratulates Senator-elect Scott Brown from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for his outstanding campaign and overwhelming victory to capture a Senate seat held for decades by a liberal icon of the Democrat Party; and be it furtherRESOLVED
, that the Republican National Committee urges renewed and unending opposition to the nationalization of our health care system and the strongest possible support for reforms that will reduce governmental control of health care and allow a competitive free market to provide health care and health insurance, that will allow doctors and patients to make health care decisions without governmental control, and that will reduce the responsibility of the federal government and state governments for health care costs.Adopted by the Republican National Committee, January 29, 2010
