Bruce Braley Lied To Seniors About Keeping Their Healthcare Provider
ObamaCare Forced 21,000 Iowa Seniors On Medicare Advantage To Change Their Plan

DES MOINES – Washington liberal Bruce Braley proudly told Iowans that under ObamaCare they could keep their current healthcare provider. However, since the law has been passed, 21,000 Iowa seniors have been forced off their plans.

As the Marshalltown Times-Republican reports:

“More than 21,000 Iowans are being forced to change their Medicare Advantage plans, after a handful of carriers have decided to drop their coverage in the state. That number includes 580 Medicare Advantage subscribers in Marshall County, which represents nearly 80 percent of the county’s total enrolled in Medicare Advantage plan.”  (Ken Black, “Medicare Advantage Clients Being Dropped In Iowa,” Times-Republican, 10/18/10)

Notably, Braley’s ObamaCare contained $716 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

“Bruce Braley flat out lied to seniors when he told them that under ObamaCare they could keep their health insurance,” said Republican Party of Iowa spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “With 21,000 seniors forced to change their healthcare plans, why would seniors ever trust Bruce Braley?”

Bruce Braley has been in Washington for 8 years and was recently in Texas for a political fundraiser where he belittled Senator Chuck Grassley for being just a farmer, with no law degree.  Additionally, during the 112th Congress, Braley skipped 75 percent of the full Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearings.
