House Resolution 1 (H.R. 1) federalizes our elections and puts Washington, D.C. in charge. Along with eliminating Iowa's voter ID laws and weaponizing the FEC, H.R. 1 would funnel taxpayer dollars into political campaigns. This bill is not for "for the people," it's for Washington's politicians.

"As Iowa legislators are listening to voters and strengthening our state laws on voting, Cindy Axne is continuing to bend to Nancy Pelosi's will," said Republican Party of Iowa Communication Director Kollin Crompton. "Iowans know when the federal government gets their hands on something, it ends up in disaster. This bill wasn't about 'the people,' rather it was a power grab by Democrats in Washington to fund their campaigns and gut Voter ID laws."
