Axne Does Not Get To Be Upset
Last night, Cindy Axne released a frustrated statement about Congress' delay on recent legislation.
Make no mistake. This is a distraction. Cindy Axne is currently facing the biggest scandals of her career and wants to change the conversation.
First, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, called Axne a "best friend" in passing Biden's agenda. Then hours later, it was reported Axne illegally hid stock trades totaling upwards of $650,000.
Then a video of Axne insulting every Iowan of faith surfaced. In a closed-door meeting with New York liberals, Axne said:
"The Christian Right is, you know, everything under the guise while they hold the cross, you know, for God or whatever. And they use it like a weapon. And it’s painful to watch. Because they’ve weaponized religion, they have weaponized politics…”
Many Iowans haven't heard about this because no mainstream media outlets have decided to cover it.
Axne does not get to be upset. She has gone along with this plan since Biden was sworn into office - her voting record proves it.
"Cindy Axne does not get to hide behind her colleagues now that she finds herself in hot water with her constituents," said Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann. "Axne has always been a vital vote for the progressive agenda. It is her friends that are hijacking D.C. It is time the mainstream media in Iowa introduces Iowans to the real Cindy Axne."
