The Biden Administration promised Americans they would put the pandemic behind us, but all they have done is create one crisis after another. 

Yesterday, it was reported that the Biden Administration is developing plans to require foreign visitors to be vaccinated before entering into the United States.This is in complete contrast with their policies at the Southern border. 

Two weeks ago, alone, there were 20,000 illegal migrants apprehended in the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the border. This outpaces the weekly trend for June 2021, when a staggering 188,829 illegal migrants were encountered by U.S. border authorities – a 21-year record.

Additionally, it was reported yesterday that the federal government released over 7,000 COVID positive migrants into McAllen, Texas, since February. That includes 1,500 COVID positive migrants in the past week. 

As Americans are getting vaccinated, this type of incompetence from the Biden Administration should not be tolerated. Releasing COVID positive migrants into communities can help destroy all the progress Iowans have made in getting their friends and families vaccinated.

"Requiring vaccinations from people entering our country via airports but not those pouring in over our borders makes absolutely no sense," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "The Biden Administration is failing to get another crisis under control and as a result his mismatched policies lead to utter confusion and more chaos at the border. President Biden will never defeat COVID until all of our borders are secure."
