DES MOINES - Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement as Christina Bohannan plows ahead with her bogus recount down 800+ votes:

"The constituents of IA-01 have rejected radical policies in favor of common-sense solutions by voting for Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, yet Christina Bohannan refuses to accept that fact. Democrats deem themselves as the "party of the people" but remain silent while Christina Bohannan wastes taxpayer dollars for a recount she has no chance of winning. Christina Bohannan can add 'election denier' to her resume, and she should do what's right and concede the race before she spoils her chance of running in this district for a third time."
