Dark money group, Iowa Voices, continues efforts to mislead Iowans on Ernst and Grassley
“Schumer and Democrats like Theresa Greenfield and Eddie Mauro are so desperate that they’re relying on far-left, dark money groups to do their dirty work and spread shameless lies about Iowa’s hardworking, effective senators.”
DES MOINES -- Dark money groups, like Iowa Voices, are spending or reserving more than $2 million in false TV ads in an effort to mislead Iowans about Joni Ernst’s record. And today, dark money group Iowa Voices continued their efforts to deceive Iowans about Senators Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley using scare tactics and dishonesty at their liberal event.
Iowans know that Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley have been outstanding leaders on countless initiatives to lower the cost of health care and prescription drugs. From legislation to increase competition such as the Prescription Pricing for the People Act, to increasing transparency like the bipartisan Drug-Price Transparency in Communications Act, Joni and Chuck have been key voices in pushing the Senate to take action to lower health care costs for Iowans.
Iowa Voices has made its blatant disregard for the truth explicitly clear. Iowans deserve better than to have their airwaves crowded with misinformation that furthers the interests of dishonest, liberal dark money groups like Iowa Voices.
“Chuck Schumer and Democrats like Theresa Greenfield and Eddie Mauro are so desperate that they’re relying on far-left, dark money groups to do their dirty work and spread shameless lies about Iowa’s hardworking, effective senators,” said Jeff Kaufmann, Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa. “In reality, Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley have been standing up for Iowans on everything from lowering prescription drug prices to quality, affordable health care -- and they have the record to prove it.”
