Voter suppression has a new definition: increased early voting. Yesterday's primary will break the record for early voting in a non-presidential election year.

Ever since Iowa Republicans passed one of the strongest election integrity bills in the country, early voting and voter turnout in Iowa have increased. Iowans want a system where it is easy to vote and hard to cheat. Remember, in Iowa's 2021 municipal elections, voter turnout broke records - just months after the election integrity bill was signed into law.

This has not only occurred in Iowa. In Georgia's May primary, after passing another strong election integrity bill, early voter turnout increased.

"For too long, Iowa Democrats have made false, misleading, and dangerous statements about our democracy without any accountability," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Iowa's voting system is one of the strongest in the country. Iowans know it's easy to vote and hard to cheat - unless they're are elected Democrats. Then it's pure misinformation."
