Breitbart has reported that The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) has asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Axne for providing a false statement to the Clerk of the House.

You can find the complaint here.

This past weekend, Axne admitted to lying. While telling the Clerk she could not vote in person due to the “ongoing public health emergency,” Axne was on a "planned" vacation to France.

FACT’s Executive Director, Kendra Arnold told Breitbart, "This is a clear case where Rep. Axne blatantly made a false statement to the House Clerk, and by extension to the American people.”

"Iowans expect more out of their Representatives in Congress. This was a blatant attempt to lie to Iowans and now Axne has been caught," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "This ethics complaint lays it out very clearly: Axne lied."
