As Washington addresses COVID crisis, Finkenauer campaigns with dark money groups
Rep. Abby Finkenauer was chatting it up with liberal dark money groups while Iowans were waiting for relief
DES MOINES -- Last night, Washington was frantically trying to reach an agreement after Pelosi and House Democrats derailed the latest coronavirus relief bill. But that didn’t stop Rep. Abby Finkenauer from campaigning with dark money groups Iowa Voices and Progress Iowa.
Democrats have been playing politics with this pandemic, stalling the Phase Three relief bill so Pelosi could use the crisis to check off items on her radical wishlist. And while Finkenauer stands idly by and allows Pelosi and Democratic leaders to stall, Iowa workers, families, and businesses continue to suffer.
So what has Rep. Finkenauer done with all this free time, as she ignores Iowans who desperately need relief? She used it as an opportunity to cozy up to far-left dark money groups. Ironically, only a year ago, Finkenauer stressed the importance of “taking dark money out of politics.” Hypocrisy at its finest.
“While Iowans were waiting for Congress to act and provide them with much-needed relief, Rep. Abby Finkenauer was chatting it up with liberal dark money groups. She has clearly been swallowed by The Swamp, and Iowans will remember Abby Finkenauer wasn’t there when they needed her most. The first district is eager to elect a new Representative who will fight for them, not out-of-touch special interest groups.” -- Iowa GOP Spokesman Aaron Britt
