DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Washington Post just named Rep. Abby Finkenauer the seventh most vulnerable incumbent in the country. This comes on the heels of outstanding fundraising numbers from her opponent, Ashley Hinson, who raised an eye-popping $1 million last quarter.

It is no surprise Finkenauer’s seat is one of the best pickup opportunities for Republicans this cycle. During her time in Congress, she has often kowtowed to Nancy Pelosi and the far-left rather than stand up for her constituents.

Whether it was stalling the USMCA in favor of the Democrats’ bogus impeachment witch hunt, voting to overturn the results of the 2016 election, bowing to Beijing and failing to hold China accountable, or standing idly by while her Democratic colleagues blocked additional funding for small businesses at the height of the pandemic, Finkenaer has caved to the far-left and coastal liberals funding her campaign time and again.

“Instead of going to Washington and working towards solutions like she promised, Rep. Finkenauer was immediately engulfed by The Swamp -- playing politics and resisting and obstructing President Trump’s agenda at every turn,” said Aaron Britt, Communications Director for the Republican Party of Iowa. “On the other hand, Ashley Hinson is ready to take on these issues and fix Washington dysfunction. With enthusiasm and momentum on her side, Hinson is in a great position to flip this seat and restore effective leadership for the first district come November.”
