Today, it was reported that Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Abby Finkenauer only raised $900,000 in Q4 of 2021. This pales in comparison to what Democrat Theresa Greenfield brought in during the same reporting period during the last cycle. In Q4 of 2019, Greenfield brought in nearly twice as much. Despite her war chest, Greenfield went on to be handily defeated by Sen. Joni Ernst.

Finkenauer's abysmal fundraising numbers show just how out of touch her campaign is - even amongst liberals, she's not gaining any traction. News flash for national Democrat candidates and funders: the Finkenauer campaign is sinking, and fast.

After Finkenauer botched her answer on supporting Biden's Build Back Broke bill, a report in Axios came out over the weekend highlighting the fact that Finkenauer and Cindy Axne are part of a very few Democrats who have avoided using Joe Biden's name

"Democrats in Iowa are flailing. They have no message, no grassroots support and no path forward," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Joe Biden continues to lead our country down a dangerous path, and even as hard as they try to disassociate from him, he's dragging down all Iowa Democrats."
