DES MOINES - Iowa GOP Spokesperson Jade Cichy released the following statement in response to Democrats Jennifer Konfrst and Taylor Wettach suspending their campaigns for IA-03 & IA-01:

“The Iowa Democrat Party is once again trying to decide primaries before voters ever have their say. Today’s coordinated announcements make their priorities clear: protecting party favorites, not empowering Iowans. 

By attempting to anoint Christina Bohannan and Sarah Trone Garriott, party insiders are proving these candidates would serve as nothing more than mouthpieces for the Democrat establishment. Iowans are fed up with backroom politics, and they know Bohannan and Trone Garriott would be rubber stamps for the radical, far-left Democrat agenda.”
