Frustrations Take Hold Amid 'Skewed' Democratic Senate Primary
On Friday, Stacey Walker announced he would not seek the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate citing “skewed” party politics thanks to Washington elites. Since Chuck Schumer, the DSCC, and liberal special interest groups like EMILY’s List have anointed their candidate in Theresa Greenfield, Walker admitted that “running would have meant entering a primary contest that was already heavily skewed in favor of one candidate.”
He goes on to decry Washington elites and special interests, claiming “this is precisely the problem with primaries that are orchestrated by Washington elites, instead of being left up to voters.”
Stacey Walker says “skewed” primary race factored in decision not to run for U.S. Senate
Iowa Democrats like Walker know that Des Moines real estate executive Theresa Greenfield is the candidate of Washington special interests. Even Eddie Mauro has frequently criticized the Swamp’s involvement in the race, saying a recent interview, “I don’t think DC should be telling us who our candidate should be.”
Chuck Schumer and the Washington establishment have made it clear: Iowans’ voices don’t matter, and they will be drowned out by Washington special interests.
