ICYMI: Cindy Axne's 40+ Stock Act Violations
For months, Axne has been haunted by sketchy stock trades. In September, the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center filed a report accusing Axne of illegally hiding stock trades. Then just last week, the corruption-fighting newsroom, Sludge called Axne out for trading stocks in companies she oversees in Congress.
Yesterday, Insider released their "Conflicted Congress" ratings. According to Insider, Cindy Axne violated the STOCK Act over 40 times.
That's more than just a mere mistake - it's problematic.
"Cindy Axne has been lining her pockets since Democrats took power in Washington. That's not a coincidence, it's a problem," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Iowans didn't elect Axne to get rich."
