Today, the new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll found that Gov. Kim Reynolds is on solid ground heading into re-election. 

Here are the highlights:

• 56 percent approve of Reynolds' handling of the economy (+23 percent)
• 52 percent approve of Reynolds' handling of schools and education (+12 percent)
• 60 percent of parents with children under 18 approve of Reynolds' job performance

On the issues that matter to voters, Gov. Reynolds is leading. As the Democrat Party continues to stall our economy and talk down Iowa parents, Reynolds is showing what the future can hold with Republican leadership. As Iowans go to the polls next year, they know that the GOP can get this country back on track.

"Iowans are proud of the work Gov. Reynolds has done and these poll numbers show that," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Iowans know that Republican Governors are the last line of defense against the assault of an unhinged federal government, and Iowans are giving Gov. Reynolds high marks on her fight to stop Joe Biden."
