CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- This morning, the Iowa delegation cast all 40 votes to renominate Donald Trump and Mike Pence for President and Vice President of the United States.

Here are the full remarks, read by
Iowa Delegate Anthony Marlowe at the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina:

"Thank you, Madam Secretary.

"Mr. President, first of all, on behalf of all Iowans, our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and the first family for the loss of your brother, Robert.

"May his memory be eternal, sir.

"As you know, Iowa, on August 10th, experienced a devastating derecho storm. But Iowans are resilient. We thank you and our representatives for the swift, decisive, and continued action in record speed.

"Mr. President: I’m a CEO and an entrepreneur. On election night 2016, I had 400 employees. Today, we have almost 4,000 -- thanks to your explosive economic policies.

"In short sir, you’re crushing it. With that said, the most enthusiastic state chairman in all of the GOP, Jeff Kaufmann, and I are honored to report that on behalf of our widely-popular governor, Kim Reynolds, Senator Grassley, Senator Joni Ernst, our 40 delegates, and our amazing congressional ticket, Ashley Hinson, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, David Young, and Randy Feenstra, that the great state of Iowa fully sends -- full send, unanimously -- all of our votes to renominate you to lead our country, under God, for four more years.

"Mr. President, and Mr. Vice President, you’re re-hired!"
