DES MOINES – Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to Democrat Julie Stauch announcing a campaign for governor:

"Iowans have already rejected the politicians Julie Stauch worked for: Bill Clinton, Pete Buttigieg, and Michael Franken, and they will reject her, too. Her resume reads like a checklist of liberal causes that do not reflect Iowa values: support for taxpayer-funded abortion, bigger government, higher taxes, and open borders.

While Republicans are focused on freedom, economic growth, and defending common sense, Julie Stauch is offering the same tired liberal ideas that Iowa voters have seen and rejected time and again."
