Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to Axne voting for the Build Back Broke scam: 

"Build Back Broke gives money to the IRS to spy on Iowans' bank accounts, provides tax cuts to blue state millionaires, raises taxes on middle-class families, and includes taxpayer-funded payouts to illegal immigrants. Cindy Axne never campaigned on these issues. For Axne, the charade continues - she tells Iowans one thing and votes with "The Squad" in D.C."
