Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to the first redistricting map being released today: 

"Iowa's nonpartisan redistricting process is looked at as the gold standard - not only in Iowa but across the nation. Now, after months of delays, the Iowa Legislature has a set of maps in front of them for review. Iowans can have the confidence that this process will be transparent and fair for every Iowan - regardless of where they live.

"The next step, which is most important, is for Iowans to weigh in through public hearings. I look forward to the Iowa Legislature doing their due dilegence and completing this process."
