Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to the Iowa Press Gubernatorial Debate:

"Gov. Kim Reynolds proved she is the leader Iowa needed the past four years and into the future. She is Iowa's freedom fighter - cutting taxes, getting students back in the classroom, and expanding freedom across the state. 

"Iowa Democrats have no message because they cannot defend the disastrous policies coming from Washington, D.C. and Joe Biden. Iowans should never forgive Democrats for destroying our economy, energy independence, and Southern Border. They caused all of this pain on purpose - they are out of touch.

"In November, Iowans will be sending a clear message to the Democrat Party: In Iowa, America still works."
