Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to the State Objection Panel determining that Tom Miller will appear on the primary ballot by one signature:

"Congratulations to Tom Miller for squeaking by and making the primary ballot. I am not at all shocked by the fact that after more than 40 years of failure in state government, Miller can barely pull enough support together to get on his party's ballot. Iowans from across the state are sick of Miller caving to the federal government at every turn rather than defending the state of Iowa's best interests. Miller has shown time and time again that he isn't worthy of Iowans' support - especially since he barely put in the effort.

"The fact that the Democrats had to rush to Miller's defense, narrowly getting the country's longest-serving Attorney General on the ballot is an utter embarrassment for Iowa Democrats. I look forward to embarrassing them further in November when we defeat Tom Miller."
