Republican Party of Iowa Co-Chair Linda Upmeyer released the following statement in response to the Iowa Legislature passing House File 902.

"Iowa businesses do not need more mandates from the federal government. The legislation passed by Republicans in Des Moines protects Iowans who are affected by the dramatic overreach of the federal government. No person should be fired from their job for making a personal health care decision. 

"Iowa Republicans will always stand on the side of freedom and liberty from an unhinged federal government. The Iowa GOP unequivocally supports Gov. Reynolds' plan for immediate legal action against the Biden Administration's OSHA vaccine mandate."
