Today, the new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll tells a grim story for Iowa Democrats. Not only is Biden's approval rating underwater, but Iowans are giving him low marks on key issues.

Iowans say they disapprove of Biden's handling of the crisis at our Southern border by a 2-1 margin (29% approve – 63% disapprove). Even Vice President Harris, the Biden Administration's 'border czar,' has a 50 percent disapproval rating.

Cindy Axne, who recently praised Vice President Harris' response to the crisis at the Southern border, is now being cornered in her embrace of Biden's open borders policies. It was just two weeks ago where her own party chair called the crisis 'fake.'

Here are other top lines: 

• Iowans disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy (40% approve - 56% disapprove). 
• Iowans disapprove of Biden's handling of criminal justice (35% approve - 52% disapprove).
• Iowans disapprove of Biden's handling of voting rights (41% approve - 50% disapprove). 

"Iowans want their commonsense values to be represented in Washington and this poll shows Democrats like Cindy Axne are failing to do even that," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "From open border policies to instituting a federal takeover our elections, Democrats are so far out of touch with Iowans it's becoming a liability for their future."
