Today, the Des Moines Register reported that Cindy Axne is endorsing Abby Finkenhauer for U.S. Senate. 

For Iowans, this endorsement proves they are just two liberal peas in a pod. Together they sided with Nancy Pelosi over Iowans every time they were given the chance. 

This endorsement also signifies a major problem for Iowa Democrats. Abby Finkenhauer is extremely unpopular as she was the first Iowan in over fifty years to be voted out after just one term. Axne nearly joined her as she was re-elected with less than 50 percent of the vote. Now they are boxing out the possibility for any new candidate to emerge, causing even more harm to the Iowa Democrats' bench problem. 

"Axne and Finkenhauer are showing just how entrenched they are in the swamp," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Together Axne and Finkenhauer bent to the will of Nancy Pelosi and left Iowans behind. Iowans will reject both of them in 2022 as Republicans look forward to winning back the House and the Senate."
