New Reports Show Axne and Finkenauer Turn to Coastal Elites and PACs to Fund Campaigns
DES MOINES — After only three months in Congress, Reps. Axne and Finkenauer have been swallowed by the D.C. swamp. Their FEC reports indicate they have once again failed Iowans, taking large sums of money from PACs and coastal elites:
- Cindy Axne immediately broke her campaign pledge not to accept corporate PAC money, accepting almost $125,000 from PACs
- Despite claiming she’s “not the right candidate for a district in California and New York,” Abby Finkenauer once again raised more money from California and New York than from her friends and neighbors in Iowa
- In fact, Absent Abby raised over five times more from areas like California, New York, New Jersey, and D.C. than she did from Iowa

“Axne has only been in D.C. for three months, but she’s already breaking the promises she made to Iowans. Meanwhile, Absent Abby continues jetting off to the East and West coasts to raise money, leaving Iowans behind. As Axne and Finkenauer rake in PAC and out-of-state money, it is clear they are not representing Iowans’ interests — instead, they are busy implementing an extremist agenda pushed by their far-left donors.” — Iowa GOP Spokesman Aaron Britt
