DES MOINES — Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer’s records are getting worse as their time in Congress drags on. Instead of doing what’s best for their constituents, it’s clear they are content with being nothing more than Pelosi puppets.

With everything Iowans stand to gain from USMCA, it has been endorsed by several Iowa associations, businesses, and chambers of commerce. In 2018, 45 percent of Iowa’s total exports went to Canada and Mexico, making these countries Iowa’s top two trading partners. Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer are letting Nancy Pelosi hold hostage much needed legislation that would bolster Iowa’s economy.

And now, the two are caving to the party boss once again, refusing to provide billions of dollars in funding for our troops. Instead of doing the right thing and ensuring our troops have the necessary resources to combat threats, Axne and Finkenauer are politicizing national security and placing our troops and their constituents in danger.

“As they continue demonstrating ineffective leadership, Iowans are becoming eager to replace these two Congresswomen in 2020. They expect Axne and Finkenauer to find the courage to stand up to Pelosi. Right now they have puppets, not the politicians they elected to stick up form them.” — Iowa GOP Spokesman Aaron Britt
