Emerson College and Iowans for Tax Relief have released new polls that show Republicans in Iowa are ahead by large margins.

According to Emerson College, Sen. Chuck Grassley leads his opponent by 11 points and Gov. Kim Reynolds leads her opponent by 17 points.

Here are some top lines: 

  • 56 percent of Iowa voters disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as president, while 34 percent approve and 10 percent are neutral
  • Voters who say the economy is their most important issue break for Sen. Grassley by 61 points, and for Gov. Reynolds by 69 points
  • The economy is the most important issue for 45 percent of voters

According to Iowans for Tax Relief (ITR), Sen. Grassley leads his opponent by 14 points and Gov. Kim Reynolds leads her opponent by 20 points. ITR also polled the other statewide races and found that Republican Brenna Bird is leading Tom Miller by 3 points and Mike Naig is leading his opponent by 19 points.

  • The generic ballot tested at +17 for the GOP
  • 64 percent of Iowa voters disapprove of the President's job performance
  • 57.9 percent of Iowans strongly oppose canceling existing college loan debt

"Iowans know that in Iowa, America still works," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "While Joe Biden and the Democrat Party continue with their woke ideology, Iowans are fully rejecting them and are preparing to elect Republican candidates up and down the ballot. On Election Day, no Iowa Democrat is safe from the Red Wave heading their way."
