Yesterday, Sen. Chuck Grassley praised Sen. Joni Ernst for her strong record of standing up for Iowa farmers. From fighting to roll back the disastrous Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) rule, to securing E-15 year-round, Ernst has an undeniable history of prioritizing Iowa ag.

On the other hand, Theresa Greenfield still hasn’t said whether or not she opposes Obama’s overly burdensome WOTUS rule, which regulated 97 percent of land in Iowa. Instead, she has touted his endorsement and stood with the radical environmental groups that are supporting her campaign.

One of these groups has embraced Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s $93 trillion Green New Deal, a far-left climate proposal that would completely disrupt our way of life here in Iowa.

Like Sen. Grassley said, “While Joni Ernst and I fought to roll back this reckless [WOTUS] rule, Ms. Greenfield has one again sided with her liberal environmental groups who support policies that could ruin Iowa’s farm economy, hurt farmers, and kill Iowa jobs.”

Bottom Line: There’s no better team in the Senate fighting for agriculture and Iowa farmers than Sens. Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst.
