DES MOINES – Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to Bernie Sanders’ Iowa campaign stops:

“Socialist Sanders’ radical agenda calls for a $32 trillion government takeover of health care and a $93 trillion Green New Deal, which would destroy Iowa’s rural economy. Sanders’ not-so-subtle plan to turn America into a socialist regime like Venezuela is abhorrent. Sanders still refuses to condemn Maduro, even with all the political and economic chaos that has unfolded there. He might think breadlines are “a good thing,” but Iowans and Americans prefer freedom and liberty, not the Sanders way.”
