DES MOINES — Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann issued the following statement regarding Cindy Axne’s Ankeny Town Hall this evening:

“When catastrophic flooding hit Western Iowa, Rep. Cindy Axne was silent. And when Iowans began trying to pick up the pieces, D.C. turned its back on them, including Axne. She instead allowed her Democratic party bosses to play politics with flood relief funding while she posed for photo ops with victims back home. We need someone in Congress who does more than just pose for pictures, we need someone who can deliver for Iowans — especially on something as simple as flood relief funding.”
