DES MOINES -- Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement on Gov. Kim Reynolds signing Senate File 160, legislation to allow 100 percent in-person learning: 

"Gov. Reynolds and legislative Republicans trust Iowa parents to make the best decisions for their own children. GOP leaders recognize that getting kids safely back to school is an important step to our state's COVID recovery, will help prevent learning loss and encourage student achievement. Iowans are grateful to have Gov. Reynolds as well as House and Senate Republicans who are committed to putting local control in the hands of parents and families."
