(DES MOINES) – Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s campaign stops in the state:

“Those in the so-called resistance movement, spearheaded by far-left Senators like Kirsten Gillibrand, will do anything they can to tear down the progress President Trump has made. Gillibrand even recently said she could support a plan to tear down the existing border wall. While this may sound appealing to an out-of-touch opportunist like Senator Gillibrand, Iowans demand a safe and secure America and that begins at our nation’s border.”
