DES MOINES -- Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann and Co-Chairman Cody Hoefert released the following statement congratulating third district GOP nominee David Young:

“Congratulations to David Young for winning the GOP primary in the third district, said Chairman Kaufmann. “He continues to stand in stark contrast to his opponent Rep. Cindy Axne, who promised she would work on behalf of Iowans but has turned into a Pelosi puppet in Washington. From supporting the far-left’s baseless impeachment effort to holding up the USMCA for far too long, she has failed to keep her promises. 

“Unlike Axne, David has a proven record of standing up for the people of the third district. I look forward to working with him to give southwest Iowa a voice in Congress once again.”

“I extend my congratulations to the third district GOP nominee, David Young,” said Co-Chairman Hoefert. “I look forward to working with him to achieve a big win in November.”
