DES MOINES -- Iowa’s Democratic congressional delegation has faced severe backlash from voters over their support for the baseless impeachment inquiry. Last week, Rep. Cindy Axne held a contentious town hall full of constituents upset over her support for the impeachment charade.

“Cindy Axne defends support for impeachment inquiry at lively town hall”

And this week, IA-01 voters called out Rep. Abby Finkenauer for siding with the far-left wing of the Democratic Party and supporting the latest impeachment witch hunt:

Their irritation comes as no surprise given a recent poll showed most Iowans are against impeachment. The pollster even noted, “The Democrats have some work to do in Iowa convincing voters that impeachment is a top priority of Congress." According to the poll, a plurality of Iowa voters -- 48 percent -- oppose impeachment.

In fact, even one in three Democrats in Iowa does not support impeachment. It couldn’t be more clear: Iowans want Congresswomen Axne and Finkenauer to stop playing politics and get back to work for the American people.

“While Democrats like Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer continue focusing on Pelosi’s impeachment charade instead of listening to their constituents, Iowans are left waiting for them to address pressing issues like the border crisis, health care, and the USCMA.” -- Iowa GOP Spokesman Aaron Britt
