Today, the August jobs report showed that almost half a million fewer jobs were created than expected, exposing yet another failure for the Biden Administration.

Throughout August, the retail sector lost 29,000 jobs, with the bulk coming from food and beverage stores, which saw a decrease of 23,000 jobs.

When Republicans were in control,  the economy was churning, Americans were employed, and Iowans were able to save for college and retirement.  The crises facing the country right now are caused by harmful policy decisions and weak leadership - and that extends from Joe Biden to Cindy Axne.

"Joe Biden and Cindy Axne's policy decisions have consequences. For American families that means not being able to afford groceries this month, choosing between rent and filling up the gas tank, and the inability to find a job," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "Biden and Axne will always be able to fall on their bank accounts, but for Iowans, we get left behind."
