Today, Iowa Democrat Party Chair Ross Wilburn penned an op-ed praising Biden's Build Back Broke agenda. Wilburn’s desperate letter shows Biden's agenda is facing headwinds in Iowa. Democrats' leading candidates Liz Mathis, Christina Bohannan, and Abby Finkenauer aren't willing to voice their support for the bill.

That puts Cindy Axne and Wilburn in a tough spot. Do they sink the entire ship with Build Back Broke, or let Mathis, Bohannan, and Finkenauer off the hook?

"When leading Democrat candidates aren't on board with Biden's signature legislation, you know it's bad policy," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "These tensions make it clear that Republicans have the right message heading into 2022."
