A year ago tomorrow, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed SF 160 that provided students in Iowa with a 100 percent in-person learning option.

While whole school districts are suspending in-person instruction indefinitely, Iowa families can have the stability to know their child has the option to go to school in-person.

Every single Democrat in the Iowa Legislature, including Liz Mathis and Christina Bohanan who are running for Congress in IA-01 and IA-02 respectively, voted against this bill. Iowa Democrats sent a clear message to Iowa's parents: we don't care about your children.

We knew the impacts of online learning, yet Iowa Democrats sided with corrupt teacher unions.

"Iowans will never forget what Gov. Reynolds did for their children," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "While Iowa Democrats stood for nothing, Iowa Republicans stood up for our state's children. Looking back, it was a blessing."
