With the worsening humanitarian crisis at our Southern border, why is Cindy Axne avoiding the border and ignoring her policy failures.

Yesterday, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson visited the border. In a press conference Hinson said, "As an Iowa mom, this is a safety and security issue for our families. Not only at the border, but across this country."

While Axne puts her head in the sand and ignores the fact that children are sleeping on the floor and terrorists are illegally entering the country, the Iowa GOP is launching www.securethebordercindy.com.

"Axne's indifference towards the humanitarian crisis at our Southern border is either ignorance or willful blindness," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "It's time for her to go see how her policies are failing border patrol and putting Iowans' safety and security at risk."
