As Democrats in Washington continue to force their radical agenda onto the country, Cindy Axne is staring down her toughest reelection yet.

Axne is now resorting to lying to protect herself.

Over the weekend, Axne claimed that Republicans have "way more dark money" than Democrats do. This claim is undeniably false. According to Open Secrets, liberal dark money groups spent more than $514 million in the 2020 election. In addition, Iowans will never forget the hypocrisy of Theresa Greenfield as dark money groups bought her the Democrat nomination for U.S. Senate.

Axne then continued her lie saying, "[Dark money is] not something that we believe in." It takes a simple search of Facebook's Ad Library to know this is not true. Nancy Pelosi's dark money group, House Majority Forward, has been buying ads to promote Axne. If Axne did not "believe" in dark money, she would tell all dark money groups to stop buying ads on her behalf.

This isn't the first time Axne has lied to her constituents. In April, The Washington Post gave her four Pinocchios for claiming she had nothing to do with packing the Supreme Court.

"Axne's defense mechanism seems to be lying and deflecting," said Republican Party of Iowa Communications Director Kollin Crompton. "If she truly didn't 'beleive' in dark money, Axne would call on her friends and donors on the coasts to stop all current and future ads in the state. For the all of the Iowa Democrats' projection about misinformation, it's rich to see their continued silence on Axne's bad habit."
