Dodging Democrat Theresa Greenfield Will Skip First Debate in Rural Iowa

SPENCER, Iowa -- Des Moines real estate executive Theresa Greenfield is skipping tomorrow’s debate in Spencer, adding to her laundry list of dodging public events and avoiding taking questions from Iowans and the press.
Two-Faced Theresa likes to call herself a “scrappy farm kid,” but according to her campaign, Greenfield is too “busy” for the rural Iowa debate. In fact, she has yet to even make a campaign stop in Clay County -- a stark contrast to Senator Ernst, who makes herself accessible to Iowans and visits every county, every year.
State Rep. Megan Jones, from Spencer, blasted Greenfield in a recent interview for refusing to participate in the upcoming debate, “I’d like to know what she’s up to these days, because she certainly isn’t meeting with Iowans.”
Bottom Line: If Theresa Greenfield is already too “busy” for rural Iowa, it’s clear she has no interest in taking their priorities to Washington. Iowans can’t trust Theresa to have their backs. Meanwhile, Sen. Ernst is committed to standing up for Iowans in every corner of the state and is currently on her sixth 99 county tour.
