ICYMI: With nation on edge, Ernst & Grassley call on Democrats to stop playing politics
Sens. Ernst and Grassley didn’t waste any time sending a clear message to their Democratic colleagues
Over the weekend, GOP and Democratic Senate leaders worked tirelessly to reach an agreement to provide Americans with immediate, desperately-needed coronavirus relief. But yesterday, after Nancy Pelosi and the House came back from a week-long break, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats voted to block Phase Three of Coronavirus relief for the second time.
Sens. Ernst and Grassley didn’t waste any time sending a clear message to their Democratic colleagues: As this crisis unfolds, there is no time to play petty political games. American workers, small businesses, and health care professionals are counting on the government to act.
It’s time for Democrats to put people over politics.
