DES MOINES -- Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann issued the following statement regarding Pelosi’s partisan plan to proceed with articles of impeachment:

“Iowans are sick and tired of Reps. Axne, Finkenauer, and Loebsack’s repeated attempts to undo the results of the 2016 election. Instead of working for their constituents, they are kowtowing to Nancy Pelosi and her blatantly partisan attempt to kick our duly-elected president out of office. 

“While Senator Ernst is fighting to pass the Violence Against Women Act, and Senator Grassley is working to lower prescription drug prices, Iowa’s Democratic congressional delegation is completely ignoring important issues like the USCMA. It’s past time they stand up for Iowans and work on issues that matter.”
