DES MOINES -- Today, the Republican Party of Iowa announced that all three of Iowa’s Republican National Committee (RNC) Members have been appointed to serve on the Committee on Arrangements (COA) for the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Chairman Jeff Kaufmann, National Committeeman Steve Scheffler, and National Committeewoman Tamara Scott will be working alongside appointees from across the nation in the strategic planning and preparation for the Republican National Convention that will mark the official nomination of the 2024 Republican nominee for president.

While every state is represented on the committee, Iowa uniquely will have all three of its RNC Members – its state chairman, national committeeman, and national committeewoman – appointed to this critical body. Only four other states are represented on the committee by its full slate of RNC Members.

The COA’s leadership is appointed by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. Indiana’s Anne Hathaway is serving as Chair of the Committee on Arrangements and Elise Dickens is serving as convention CEO.

The convention will be held July 15-18, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In response to their appointments, Iowa’s RNC Members released the following statements:

“Ensuring that Iowa and middle America as a whole have a voice in our country has always been of the utmost personal importance to me. Serving on the Committee of Arrangements for the 2024 Republican National Convention is a fantastic opportunity to continue to do just that on the national stage. I look forward to helping organize not only a historic convention, but to set the stage for Republicans to reclaim the White House in 2024.” – Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann

“Representing Iowa Republicans on the national stage as we work to officially nominate the next Republican president is an honor. I could not be happier to work with the rest of the Committee on Arrangements and the team in Milwaukee to put together a truly historic convention in 2024.” – National Committeeman Steve Scheffler

“I am honored to be a part of the Committee on Arrangements for the 2024 Republican National Convention. I look forward to working alongside Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and COA Chairwoman Anne Hathaway to plan a safe, productive, and unforgettable experience in Milwaukee to highlight our Republican message to our country and the world at large.” – National Committeewoman Tamara Scott
