Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to tonight's debates:

"The message could not be more clear: we need Republican majorities in Washington to put an end to the crises America faces today. In just two years, the Democrat Party has weakened our economy, opened our Southern Border, and made America less free. To get America back on track, Republicans have to win up and down the ballot in November.

"Senator Grassley showed that the Senator we need is the Senator we've got. Sen. Grassley understands that Iowans are fed up with one party, Democrat rule in Washington. Unlike Mike Franken, who shows he will just be another vote for Joe Biden's disastrous agenda. With gas prices rising, inflation soaring, and a raging recession, Iowans can't afford to elect Mike Franken. The Senator we need is the Senator we've got with Chuck Grassley.

"Zach Nunn showed Iowans that Cindy Axne will stand by Joe Biden's side no matter how much it hurts Iowa. From illegal stock trades to skipping votes for a vacation to France, Axne has shown she has little regard for representing Iowans in Congress. Zach Nunn is a combat veteran who is ready to do that hard work to make America strong again. It all starts with defeating Cindy Axne and stopping Joe Biden."
