Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann released the following statement in response to a new Iowa Poll finding Gov. Kim Reynolds up 17 points against Deidre DeJear: 

"Despite the efforts of the Des Moines Register's 'Editorial' Board to take down Kim Reynolds and prop up a failing, Democrat candidate, Gov. Kim Reynolds is leading by 17.

"Gov. Reynolds fought back against mandates and lockdowns, put our children back in the classroom, and eliminated taxes on retirement income. While the Democrat Party went off the deep end, Gov. Reynolds lead with commonsense."
